to new beginnings…
be a smile; a phrase used by my autistic, younger brother to convey that he is he happy… that the problem he was facing has been solved. This is a phrase that I will never forget my entire life.
I have named this blog YOU CAN BE A SMILE, because I believe that no matter what difficulty you may be facing in life, you need to go beyond that and be grateful to be alive, and take upon every hardship as a challenge to emerge from victorious. It is a message from my brother, which has helped me to view tough situations in life as a blessing to learn and grow from, and I wish to share his message. This blog is dedicated to my brother. I am thankful to him for every lesson he has thought me with his unique way of living and approaching life.
As a sibling of a child with autism, my life has been very different from every other teenager out there. I have created this blog, as a means of sharing my stories, experiences, views and opinions on autism, society, and the need for change when it comes down to the acceptance and the perception of autistic, and other special needs children.
